Electrical remedial works and fault finding
A report that says "unsatisfactory" is only useful once the items are fixed and certified. Send us the report; we quote the remedials item by item, do the work, and issue the certificate.

- Anyone holding an unsatisfactory report, from any contractor
- You get
- Itemised quotation against the report references, completion photographs, certificates
- Typical start
- Quotation from the report before any visit where possible
- Next step
- Send us your report
Who this is for
Anyone holding an unsatisfactory EICR from any contractor, facilities managers with a defect list, letting agents with a 28-day clock running, and premises with intermittent faults that nobody has traced.
Scope
- Remedials from a report
- Each C1, C2 and FI item priced separately so you can authorise some or all. C3 items quoted on request.
- Fault finding
- Tripping RCDs, intermittent loss of supply, overheating boards, nuisance tripping on new equipment: investigation charged by time at the hourly rate quoted before we attend, with a written finding.
- Typical works
- Board and RCBO upgrades, bonding, replacing damaged accessories, circuit re-termination, surge protection, lighting repairs.
- Certification
- Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate or Electrical Installation Certificate for the work done; written confirmation of completed remedials for landlords.
- Not included
- Work requiring a specialist certification route outside the agreed scope, HV, fire alarm and specialist systems.
Access and shutdown planning
Most remedials need short isolations; we schedule them around your operation and tell you in advance which circuits will be off and for how long.
What you receive
- Itemised quotation against the report references
- Completion photographs
- Certificate(s) for the work
- Updated next-inspection recommendation if the work changes it
What stands behind the work
- Delivery is planned around the agreed scope, site rules, safe isolation and practical reporting.
- Personnel and delivery partners are selected to match the agreed scope, site requirements and certification route.
- Management oversight includes site-supervision, health-and-safety management, first-aid-at-work and access-safety training; site-specific RAMS are prepared for every job.
- Test instrument and reporting: Megger MFT-X1 multifunction tester and CertSuite digital certification. Calibration evidence can be supplied on request.
- Where a project requires a particular certification or supply-chain route, this is agreed before work is accepted. We do not claim memberships or accreditations that have not been confirmed for that work.
Questions we are usually asked
Can you do remedials on another contractor's report?
Yes. We work from the report's observation references so the paper trail is clear.
Do I need a new EICR after remedials?
Usually not. The remedial certificate plus the original report shows the items are closed. If the report had many limitations or FI items, a re-inspection of those parts may be sensible; we will say which.
How quickly can you attend a fault?
Contracted clients have a response window in their contract. For everyone else we fit faults around contracted work and give you the earliest date when you call; we do not promise same-day attendance, and we will say so if we cannot help in time.
